Global Studies and Spanish with a concentration in Latin America, Social Justice and Human Rights, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities
I chose Daniels because of its incredible commitment to integrating social, environmental and ethical aspects into its curriculum. Daniels’ challenge-driven education and emphasis on the “global mindset” was something that no other business program could beat.
Before my admission into the Denver MBA program, I was working at a Beneficial Corporation in education technology as a bilingual student coach. Prior to that, I worked as a coordinator at Centro Humanitario in Five Points, Denver. My love for Spanish comes from my time spent abroad in Bucerías, Mexico, as a global fellow for a responsible tourism social enterprise.
Although I am not entirely sure what path I will choose, I am confident my experience at Daniels will help me break into the global fair trade sector or work with women who are small business owners to apply for microloans and intensify their status in local markets.
I love anything that will get me outside and away from a screen. You can usually find me climbing in the summer and fall and backcountry skiing in the winter and spring.
