Favorite internship, job, or volunteer experience?

In summer 2019 I worked as an investment banking analyst intern at Capstone Headwaters in Denver. It was a great first exposure into the finance world, and I learned a ton. I also work for PocketChange, a tech startup that was first started by Daniels students. It’s been a great experience, and I love being part of the team!

Podcast, book or other media you recommend?

I love listening to NPR’s Hidden Brain podcast, as well as How I Built This.

Best piece of advice for first year students?

Get involved! I know a lot of people will tell you this, but I think it’s a super important way of meeting your friends, figuring out what you want to do, and gaining connections that are helpful in the long-run. But also, don’t get involved just to be involved–college is supposed to be fun, so make sure you have balance.
