What advice do you have for prospective students?

There will never be a perfect time to go back to school, so pull the trigger when you can and take the plunge. Once committed, dive in deep and be open to change. Be vulnerable. You’ll only get out as much as you put in.

What is your favorite thing about living in Denver?

As a Cajun girl from South Louisiana, the Denver mountains never get old. I also like the atmosphere that most residents truly love the outdoors, and make the most of the climate and landscape. I enjoy playing recreational flag football, finding a good jeep trail, playing house poker games and camping during the summertime.

What were you looking for in a business school?

I wanted to take my business and communication skills to the next level. I fell into a routine at work and knew it was time for a new challenge of growth and opportunity.

Why did you choose Daniels for your degree?

I chose Daniels because of a colleague who completed the Executive MBA program years ago, and while working with him, I noticed changes and improvements in his leadership. He raved about the program, and it ultimately shone through in his work life.

What surprised you the most about business school?

The most surprising thing about business school thus far is the network of peers. Everyone comes from such diverse backgrounds, yet we all share in the experience of growing together and learning from each other and our professors.

How do you manage work-life balance while taking classes?

Scheduling is key with taking on an MBA while working full-time. Setting aside a specific time each day has been helpful. Making sure that your spouse/significant other/family is in it with you is important in order to remain sane and calm through some of the more strenuous weeks.
