What advice do you have for prospective students?

Enjoy your time in grad school – it ends far too quickly and it’s an experience you want to fully immerse yourself in. Also, do the reading before class, it helps immensely!

How have you evolved as a leader during your time at Daniels?

Through the encouragement of my professors, I found confidence in my abilities to speak up and be heard.

What has surprised you the most about business school?

What surprised me the most was how much I truly got out of the experience. My initial intention was to strengthen my understanding of finance, but I was able to develop skills that continue to help me in every subject.

Is there a particular professor at Daniels who really stands out?

Dr. Mac Clouse is a wonderful professor, and his Finance Capitals of the World class was my absolute favorite. Professor Phil Beaver’s statistics class was one of the most valuable classes as it taught me invaluable Excel skills.

If you participated in a global trip with Daniels, tell us the most memorable part of that experience.

I went on a trip to Brussels and London as part of the Financial Capitals of the World class, and the most memorable part of the experience was going to different types of financial companies and learning how companies operate in the EU.

In what ways has Daniels prepared you to be market-ready?

Daniels’ classes provided real problems that occurred in various companies as a way to practice what we’ve learned. Additionally, the Career Services department really steps up in helping you prepare for the job you desire.
