If you could tell your past-self one thing before you started grad school, what would it be?
Don’t take life and school too seriously! Make time for yourself, family and friends.
What advice do you have for prospective students?
Invest in building strong friendships and relationships with your classmates.
What are some of your favorite things to do in or around Denver?
I like the friendly, active and progressive culture of the city. I also like playing volleyball at Wash Park, going to concerts at the Ogden and rooftop patios.
What were you looking for in a business school?
I wanted to continue to develop as a well-rounded business professional, and gain exposure to a variety of different industries and functions.
Why did you choose Daniels for your graduate degree?
I really appreciated DU’s small, tight-knit culture and faculty focus on student success and development. Additionally, the focus on challenge-driven education and real-world client projects and interfacing.
How did you get to know your classmates?
I got to know my classmates through group projects, study groups and by getting involved in student groups like Net Impact, the Denver MBA Navigator program and attending networking events.
How have you evolved as a leader during your time at Daniels?
I’ve gained more self-awareness around my own strengths and weaknesses. I’ve also gained a clearer understanding of what it takes to lead a successful team and project.
How has Daniels prepared you to be market-ready?
I’ve gained stronger leadership and project management skills, as well as tactical marketing and analytical skills.
