If you could tell your past-self one thing before you started grad school, what would it be?
Take advantage of all lunch and learns, panels and extracurricular activities.
What advice do you have for prospective students?
Have fun. It’s obviously going to be hard work, and not to say difficult sometimes, but enjoy it!
What is your favorite thing about living in Denver?
There’s always something going on. My friends and I have really gotten into VoiceBox, and my son and I are regulars at the Denver Zoo. Plus, there’s all the obvious Colorado things like heading to the mountains and going to Red Rocks.
Why did you want to pursue a graduate business degree?
I was on the law track, but wanted to do a career shift, and it was a good point in my life and career to come to Daniels.
Is there a particular class or professor at Daniels that really stands out?
Kerry Plemmons was always a good resource and such an approachable person even after I graduated. He is definitely one of those people who cares about his students.
How have you evolved as a leader during your time at Daniels?
I learned how to approach problems with solutions. It’s actually come in handy several times in my post-Daniels career.
How has Daniels prepared you to be market-ready?
The staff and career coaches in Daniels Career Services really helped connect me with alumni when I was looking for internships and jobs.
