If you could tell your past-self one thing before you started grad school, what would it be?

Put more effort into networking outside the school

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Remember to have fun while you are in your program and get to know the people in your class.

What are some of your favorite things to do in or around Denver?

I love how easy it is to find someone to go explore the outdoors with. Whenever possible I head to the mountains or a local park.

What were you looking for in a business school?

I felt that I had a lot of holes in my business knowledge and would be stuck in the same position for the rest of my career.

Tell us about an “Ah-hah” moment where you put to use what you learned in the classroom.

I was sitting in a leadership meeting about shifting our company from a sole partnership to a corporation. During the meeting, I was able to comfortably and confidently discuss the advantages, disadvantages and effects on company strategy.

How have you evolved as a leader during your time at Daniels?

I have gained a better understanding of my leadership style and how it affects my teammates.

In what ways has Daniels prepared you to be market-ready?

It has given me a better understanding of how I show up and the workplace and how to utilize this knowledge. It has also filled in the holes I felt where preventing my career progression.
