What advice do you have for prospective students?

Get involved as much as possible with extracurricular activities and expand your network.

What are some of your favorite things to do in or around Denver?

The best thing about Denver is the 300 days of sunshine. I also like to shoot up to the mountains for hiking and skiing.

What were you looking for in a business school?

I wanted to learn about the finance and development side of commercial real estate development.

Is there a particular class at Daniels that really stands out?

The CityCraft course with Professor John Knott really opened my eyes to look at development from multiple angles. We learned how to identify community assets and address critical issues in planning to create long-term sustainable communities.

Were you involved in any case competitions during your time at Daniels?

In February 2018, I participated in the Associated Schools of Construction graduated student competition, which is one of the largest construction management and construction engineering events in the country. I was part of the Integrated Project Delivery team and worked on a project for Clark Construction.

How have you evolved as a leader during your time at Daniels?

I’ve really made an effort to meet with other students to talk about their career aspirations and offer advice. I’ve also hired two Daniels undergraduates as interns.

How has Daniels prepared you to be market-ready?

Every class project is another opportunity for students to prepare business plans and learn about the market. I’ve been able to use finance and development terms correctly, and in the right context.
