If you could tell your past-self one thing before you started grad school, what would it be?

Keep the end in sight and set small goals.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Enjoy the ride. It’s been one of the hardest and most fulfilling things I’ve ever done personally/professionally.

What are some of your favorite things to do in or around Denver?

My favorite thing about Denver is the changing seasons because of the fun things to do in each season. I also like that the city is growing so quickly. I like to play in the mountains, spend time in parks and enjoy local breweries/restaurants.

What were you looking for in a business school?

I was switching industries/careers, and wanted to accelerate the transition and expand my network.

Is there a particular class at Daniels that really stands out?

Professor Lowell Valencia-Miller’s business strategy course was the best of the entire Part-time Professional MBA program.

How have you evolved as a leader during your time at Daniels?

I’ve tried my best to go above the call of duty at work to differentiate myself by spearheading internal projects. I’ve also tried to share what I’ve learned with colleagues in different classes along the way.

How has Daniels prepared you to be market-ready?

I had no background in business, so this program was incredible at getting me up to speed to be competitive in the market.
