Professional GBS Certification Program

Powered by Inixia

What is a Professional GBS™ Certification?

Professional GBS is a model to execute Global Business Services with excellence. The term GBS has been interpreted in many different ways, leading to inferior execution.

There is a right way to execute GBS, as witnessed by the incredible success of this model in many of the Fortune 500 companies, including at Procter & Gamble, which invented the term.

That model has now been encapsulated into five areas—foundations, service management, operations management, transformation and leadership. Training and certification modules are offered online and are taught by industry-leading ex-P&G executives.

This program is powered by Inixia, a global leader in business services and digital transformation. Inixia is leading an industry-wide initiative to Professionalize Global Business Services (GBS) through the definition of standards and best practices, training courses, certifications, and advisory and consulting services.

Program Starts February 2021

Program Benefits

The GBS program enables organizations to achieve breakthrough levels of transformation through innovation, value creation, proven models and frameworks, and industry standardization.

Innovation

  • Lead and understand organization wide Digital Transformation. Digital transformation (DX) is the #1 priority of most boards and demands a strong foundation. DX requires people who understand end to end processes within their enterprise. DX depends on people who know technology and can implement business transformation.
  • Innovation is constant. Innovation requires experimentation and organizational adjustment. Be a leader in disrupting your industry.

Value creation

  • Create value and reduce costs. GBS provides a first-of-its-kind opportunity to certify your organization to deliver up to 50% cost reductions, increased agility and 3X the value creation.

Proven models and frameworks

  • Learn new methods to transform your business. Obtain a guided framework with a step-by-step action plan, questions, checklists, timing, stakeholder involvement and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop a tailored framework for your particular context. Enable digital transformation to be the innovation engine for your organization.

Industry standardization

  • Be on the cutting edge of industry standardization. The GBS industry will double to $111 billion by 2025, but failure rates continue to be high. This makes standardization and trusted guides vital.
  • Become certified as an industry leader. Inixia brings the best methodology from highly successful companies like P&G, delivered by experienced industry leaders.

Program Structure

This program is divided into 5 major components—foundation, operations management, service management, transformation management and leadership.

The foundation is about a common set of terminology. Having a shared language is important for our discussion of the business model/operating model and for understanding how to operationalize all of the work in GBS. The three vertical pillars that rest on that foundation are operations management, service management and transformation.

The overarching topic, leadership, incorporates the skills and knowledge needed to truly liaise with the business. Leadership includes how to articulate the value proposition, constantly discover new opportunities for the business, reinvent a business model, automate and, importantly, build capabilities for the business.

“There are many organizations that provide training and facilitation, but what we found in our experience talking with Fortune 500 companies, there aren’t many that lay out the formula for how to operate as an industry. That is something unique and distinctive, the technical experience of how do you run one of these organizations, that we in Inixia are hoping to bring in.”

Tony Saldanha, Inixia

“The model is about how to sequence the work, how you start that, how to articulate the value proposition to the business, how to run professional services, how you operate services. The model allows people to apply effectively what could be best in class.”

Filippo Passerini, Inixia

“…Where is payroll headed? One day is it just simply going to be replaced by Venmo? Changes like this are real possibilities, so you need somebody within an organization to be thinking about them.”

Tony Saldanha, Inixia
