Dr. Tommi Johnsen Appointed to Academic Board for S&P Capital IQ
Dr. Tommi Johnsen, director of the Reiman School of Finance, was recently appointed to the newly established Academic Client Advisory Board of S&P Capital IQ. S&P Capital IQ is a leading provider of multiasset class and real-time data, research and analytics to institutional investors, banks, investment advisors, wealth managers, corporations and universities. The board will preview new products and initiatives for S&P Capital IQ and offer insight into product direction and market positioning.
S&P Capital IQ is a gold-level member of the Daniels Corporate Partners program. The firm has supported the Reiman School through its involvement in the Reiman Fund course, a practice-oriented undergraduate experience in which students manage a portfolio of investments using fundamental methods to value companies and invest in S&P 400 mid-cap stocks. The course uses the Capital IQ platform and is co-taught by S&P Capital IQ’s senior director of product management, also a Daniels adjunct.
Dr. Johnsen has an extensive background in financial forecasting and teaches in the areas of capital markets, portfolio management and performance analysis, financial applications of econometrics, and quantitative models of security selection.
