Biography at a Glance
With more than 20 years in the K-12 arena, Yee-Ann Cho has a longstanding commitment to inclusivity and diverse populations, and extensive experience in the nonprofit, education, public and philanthropic sectors at the local, state and national levels.
Prior to joining Daniels in January 2018, Yee-Ann worked as a consultant providing strategy, program design and implementation, and project management support to educational, philanthropic and nonprofit ventures. For more than five years, she served as Senior Vice President of Initiatives at The Colorado Education Initiative where, among other responsibilities, she oversaw the implementation of all strategic programmatic work in support of the organization’s mission to accelerate innovation and improvement in Colorado ’s school. Before joining CEI, Yee-Ann served as Chief of Staff to then-Lieutenant Governor Barbara O’Brien; was founding CEO of Envision Schools Colorado, where she led the establishment of a new charter management organization; spent more than five years as a Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation managing an investment portfolio of more that $200M; and worked at New American Schools providing technical assistance and support to various national comprehensive school reform partners.
As Chief Operating Officer at the Daniels College of Business, Yee-Ann oversees Career Services, Communications and Marketing, Executive Education and Graduate Admissions, and works to integrate Daniels’ strategic vision throughout the College’s operations.
