Biography at a Glance
Vi Narapareddy holds a PhD, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently she is an associate professor at the Daniels College of Business, where she teaches traditional and online courses in Business Policy and Strategy, International Management, Leading High-Performance Organizations, Organizational Behavior, and Global Social Entrepreneurship.
She has published articles and numerous case studies in ethics, corporate governance, sustainable finance, global strategy and global social entrepreneurship in premier journals. She enjoys developing innovative teaching practices and offers professional development workshops on developing theory from case research, teaching with cases, teaching online with cases, and writing publishable cases at the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, Strategic Management Society (to name a few) and overseas. President Emeritus of the North American Case Research Association (NACRA), Dr. Vi Narapareddy served the Strategic Management Society (SMS) as program chair of the Teaching Community. She currently serves as chair of the Corporate Governance and Ethics Track of NACRA; is on the editorial boards of four leading case journals; enjoys speaking to faculty, administrators and students in the U.S. and overseas; and delivers keynote speeches at professional case research conferences.
A gold medalist from India, Dr. Narapareddy continues to receive awards for her case research, reviewing, teaching, and service. In 2017, she was nominated for USASBE’s MWE “Professor of the Year” award, received two prestigious awards for her case research, and one for her service to the Strategic Management Society. In March 2018, she received the coveted “Outstanding Case Writer” award from The Case Centre, UK.
