Biography at a Glance
Tim Hartwig (MBA 2001) comes from a background of service to communities and improving lives. Tim holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University as well as an MBA from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business. While Tim has over 20 years of prior experience in real estate and investments from his roles at AIMCO, Archstone-Smith and others, he joined University Communities in April 2009. As the National Director of Asset Management, Tim is responsible for the physical upkeep, construction, compliance, risk management, and legal operating platforms of the Company’s real estate assets, as well as property level financing and maintenance.
Tim is married to Jayme Margaret and enjoys baking, skiing, golf, SCUBA, travel, NRA-Handgun shooting, HAM radio, Instructing FEMA-Community Disaster Response/Preparedness Courses (C.E.R.T. certified), Habitat for Humanity, and as the Vice President of the Board for Metro Volunteers Colorado he directs the Colorado Statewide Disaster Assist/Access and Build Committees. Tim is a proud member of Our Father Lutheran Church (LCMS), Frontline Missions (Tolupan- La Ceiba, Honduras), Rotary International (sits on the Executive Board of the Denver Southeast Club), Bob Ord Toastmasters, and an active alumnus of the University of Denver serving on the Daniels College of Business Alumni Advisory Board. Additionally, Tim sits on the Arapahoe County Board of Review.
