Steven Petrie

Steven C. Petrie, CPA (Texas), is a teaching assistant professor in the School of Accountancy at the Daniels College of Business.

Petrie enjoys teaching managerial accounting, valuation and modeling, and forensic accounting. Steve also enjoys working with DU’s online MBA program as a section lead for financial statement and reporting. Prior to retiring from industry, Petrie had over 30 years of industry experience, the last 17 years as chief operating officer for an opportunistic investment company.

Steve holds a CPA license in Texas and recently completed the requirements to hold an AICPA certificate in Certified Financial Forensics (CFF). Steve is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served a total of 12 years both on active duty and with the Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard.
