Biography at a Glance
Philip Scott Lowery, a Denver native, is married to Texie who together have three daughters. Scott is a graduate from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, and holds a BSBA from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business.
Scott currently serves on the Board of Education as Vice Chair; the Board of Trustees for Valor Christian High School; the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business Executive Advisory Board as Vice Chair; Colorado UpLift Board of Directors and Executive Board; the ACE Scholarships Board of Trustees. Formerly, Scott served on the Denver Hospice Board of Directors and the Investment Committee from 2006-2016.
Scott was the co-founder of SquareTwo Financial, formerly Collect America, a debt buyer in the distressed debt market. He has served as the company’s CEO, President and Chairman at various times and capacities since inception in 1994 until 2013. Scott remained a Director until May 2016.
Scott is the CEO of Scott Lowery Law Offices, P.C., and has been since its inception in 2000. The firm currently practices collection law in five states. Prior to that and starting in 1985, Scott worked full time in his father’s law firm.
Scott is a private pilot, an avid reader, an archery fan who loves bow hunting, and he enjoys spending time with his family.
