Biography at a Glance
Joe Colosimo is a high energy, candid, and “get it done” advisor. He serves organizations large and small. He combines profit and nonprofit experiences with an accomplished corporate and consulting career. He is particularly knowledgeable with human resources, organization design and development, communications, and bringing groups together to focus through his facilitation and processes.
He holds executive experiences with several large corporations including SVP of Human Resources at Westinghouse, UtiliCorp United, and senior Human Resources positions with Ford and Loral. His consulting practice includes work at Organization Resources Counselors, Inc. and businesses ranging from Fortune 300 to non-profits.
His experiences cover a range of economic conditions from startup, to growth, to redirection, to turnaround, and divestiture. His work has been noted in books, and he was featured in The Journal of Business Strategy as one of the leading strategists in the country to watch and the only non-CEO among the group. More recently he was featured in Financial Executive Magazine on future talent challenges.
When he is not working, Colosimo is active in a variety of community organizations and initiatives. He teaches in the Management Department of the University of Denver. Previously, he was a long-term active Board member of The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania. He has served on the Board of the Rocky Mountain Human Resource Planning Society, KidsTek and the Leadership Committee of the Association for Corporate Growth. He has been a competitive rower having competed throughout the United States and Canada.
