Biography at a Glance

Gary Burandt is currently the executive director of ICOM, the leading international independent advertising agency network. ICOM is made of up 100+ ad agencies in 80+ countries with a combined turnover of +$3.5 billion.

Prior to ICOM, Burandt worked for Young & Rubicam for 25 years with management assignments in Chicago, Brussels, Paris, New York, Moscow and Singapore. He wrote a book about opening the first ad agency in the USSR, Moscow Meets Madison Avenue, The Adventures of the First American Adman in the USSR (HarperCollins 1995). He has been interviewed on NPR, Larry King and Charlie Rose. Burandt was awarded the Distinguished Service in Journalism Medal by the University of Missouri in 1995.
