WHY DID YOU CHOOSE DANIELS?

I chose Daniels because I knew I wanted to pursue a dual degree in social work and business. I researched Daniels and the Graduate School of Social Work and really appreciated what both programs had to offer, so it felt like the perfect fit.

PREVIOUS EDUCATION

BAs in Psychology and Music with a concentration in Educational Studies, St. Olaf College

PRE-GRAD SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

Prior to grad school, I worked as a program coordinator on a federal healthcare integration grant at a nonprofit focused on behavioral health. Before that, I completed an AmeriCorps year of service teaching a course called Youth Mental Health First Aid. Since starting grad school, I’ve been working part time as a Junior Accountant with The Minerva Group. I am passionate about whole person health, wellness and health equity across the lifespan.

POST GRAD SCHOOL GOAL

My purpose is simple. I believe that social work and business can be strengthened by one another, but I feel that they don’t always speak the same language. By learning how to work more effectively within both arenas, I aim to design and run programs that are fiscally responsible and also authentically serve and work in partnership with the communities they are intended to support.

HOBBIES

Outside of work and school, I like to explore our beautiful state, travel to new places, try out new recipes, watch a good movie, play/sing great music, and spend time with my family and friends.
