Biography at a Glance
Christopher A. Gantz is a Senior Investment Analyst at AMG National Trust Bank, based in Denver Colorado. He joined AMG National Trust Bank in 2007. He is an integral member of the Investment group that is responsible for implementing and executing the firm’s Investment Research, Portfolio Management, Portfolio Trading and Proprietary Technology development, integration and deployment.
Mr. Gantz utilizes his vast mathematical and computer engineering expertise to enhance the quantitative elements that drive AMG’s investment manager selection, due diligence process and the stock selection process for the AMG Portfolio Strategies. He is also a member of the AMG Investment Committee, Information Technology Committee and Publicly Traded Securities Committee.
Prior to joining AMG, Mr. Gantz was an accomplished advanced software system applied researcher and software developer for a variety of software and research firms including: Sun Microsytems, Bell Laboratories, US West Advanced Technologies and the Mitre Coporation. Presently, Mr. Gantz serves on several boards including: the Urban League of Metropolitan Denver (Finance Committee Chair and Treasurer) and the QWAFAFEW Denver Chapter (Treasurer).
Mr. Gantz has been honored as the recipient of: the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) Graduate Scholar (2005), the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business Marsico Scholarship (2006) and the US West Advanced Technologies Graduate Fellowship (1993-1995)
He earned a Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Denver (2006), a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Colorado (1993), both his B.S. in Computer Science and B.S. Mathematics from the University of Denver (1986) and he expects to complete his Ph.D. in Engineering (with a computer engineering concentration) from the University of Denver in the very near future.
