The University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business today announced its second annual Digital Marketing Summit, sponsored by 9NEWS and bringing together leaders in digital marketing and branding for an intense one-day seminar on October 18, 2013 of both applied learning and workshops. Crispin Porter + Bogusky Executive Vice President, Matt Walsh is the keynote luncheon speaker.

“The Digital Summit will bring together leaders in digital marketing to show how to integrate new digital technologies into any marketing or business plan,” said Carol Johnson, PhD, Daniels Department of Marketing chair.  “The world of digital marketing moves quickly and it is essential that both students and business professionals understand this rapidly-evolving landscape.”

Tom Douglis, managing director from premier branding agency Monigle Associates; Michael Myers, digital marketing instructor at the Daniels College of Business and Emma Chanin, digital sales manager at 9NEWS, will be the featured experts for the morning Digital Summit workshops that include:

  • Digital Secrets of Big Business: How to apply the digital skills of big business to smaller, more innovative, organizations and companies.
  • Moving to Mobile: An overview of how to use mobile platforms to create awareness of your brand and engage with your target market to drive sales.
  • The Digital ROI – Measuring Success: Tools and techniques to measure the digital success of an organization or business.

This summer, the Daniels College of Business also launched its first online Digital Marketing Certificate. The four-course, 16-credit program is designed for degreed professional who want to gain more expertise in mobile marketing, social media marketing, digital metrics, SEO and other electronic devices to engage with both consumers and business partners. Credits earned in the digital marketing online certificate can be transferred to the MS marketing program at Daniels or any other internationally recognized AACSB-accredited graduate business program.
