The University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business is excited to announce a new addition to its program offerings. Students can apply now for the Executive PhD program with the first cohort beginning in fall 2018.
The AACSB-accredited program provides a new opportunity to develop rigorous applied research skills necessary to address the complex problems facing business today. The three-year blended format allows you to earn your doctorate while continuing your full-time career. The University of Denver is only the third university in the nation to offer a PhD program through an executive format.
“We know there are business leaders who aspire to earn a PhD in order to enhance their skill sets, however, the rigidity of a traditional PhD program in business makes it impossible for business leaders to pursue a PhD without leaving the workforce,” says Lisa Victoravich, associate dean and program director. “This program will enable business leaders to make evidence-based decisions by conducting research. Upon completion of the program, graduates can use their skill sets to contribute to their organizations or to pursue a career in academia.”
The program integrates career experience with a thorough education in quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis and mixed methods, teaching you to find powerful, data-driven business insights.
“Often times PhD students struggle to nail down their area of study. Study what you are passionate about – what keeps you up at night, what solution would clear obstacles in your path? Study that,” says Craig Wallace, research director of the program and chair of the Management Department. “Our world-class faculty at Daniels can mentor you to help you reach your answer, regardless of the area of study, and push our collective understanding of business to new heights.”
The Daniels College of Business is taking inquiries and applications now. The first application deadline is April 1 for a fall 2018 start.
