Daniels Pioneer of the Week: Sydney Raith
Meet Sydney, she’s a driven, creative, small business owner with a passion for sports statistics. Get to know her because someday she’s going to take the sports world by storm. Just as soon as she finishes her research grant. Or her job at the DU Admissions Office. Or her next jewelry order online. When she’s not doing all of those things, she’s finding other ways to be a big deal at Daniels.
Statistics Professor Kellie Keeling nominated Sydney for Daniels Pioneer of the Week because she “is an extraordinary student who strives to do her best in everything that she does…” Prof. Keeling went on to say Sydney “was the recipient of an Undergraduate Student Research Grant and spent the summer working on her project analyzing the scoring system for the Olympic Figure Skaters.” The result? She figured out the difference between gold and silver in the last Olympics. Pretty cool, huh? We think so and that’s why Sydney is our Daniels Pioneer of the Week.
