Crystal Bustillos knew she wanted to attend the University of Denver since she participated in the Volunteers in Partnership (VIP) program as a high school sophomore. Since then, she has become a highly involved International Business major, with minors in Chinese and Finance. Her interest in Chinese is rooted in high school classes that grabbed her attention, and a study abroad trip to China that she calls “life-changing” and “eye-opening”.

Crystal says she chose Daniels because she has always envisioned herself as a businesswoman. Now she is fulfilling that vision, as well as giving back to the VIP program, participating in the Excelling Leaders Institute, Rho Lambda Honor Society, and serving as President of the Epsilon Chapter of Pi Lambda Chi. Her participation in the VIP program has been especially meaningful as a way to give back to the program that inspired her to attend DU. Crystal advises incoming first years to get involved on campus and to study abroad.

Thanks, Crystal, for being such an inspiring Daniels Pioneer! We can’t wait to see what great things await you.
