The University of Denver has named Elrie LaBrent Chrite dean of the School’s Daniels College of Business.
Chrite comes from Montclair State University in Montclair, N.J., where he has served as both dean and professor of management and international business for the past four years. He will start at DU on August 1.
“With more than two decades of institutional leadership experience, he has a proven track record,” DU provost Gregg Kvistad said in a statement.
Chrite says he is honored to have been selected for the job.
“The Daniels School of business has a very strong foundation and is well positioned to mold tomorrow’s business leaders for Denver and the world,” he says.
Chrite also served as associate dean and Gemelli Faculty Fellow at the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona and assistant dean for global development at the University of Michigan’s Ross Business School.
Chrite earned his PhD at Michigan, his master’s at the University of Missouri and his bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University.
