The end of the academic year is upon us at the Daniels College of Business and we have much to celebrate. This year saw the launch of many exciting initiatives at the College: Daniels in Focus, our strategic positioning strategy, a new and innovative full-time MBA program, Project X-ITE, a cross-disciplinary hub that will bring entrepreneurial ideas to life across DU and beyond, a Leadership Fellows Program, and the inaugural the SMART Conference series, to name a few. We also brought our many stakeholders together at longstanding events, including a very successful Executive Summit, the DU Vin Festival and Voices of Experience, our signature speaker series.

This past year, we committed significant energy and time toward the creation of a set of four core priorities under the rubric of Daniels in Focus, the College’s strategic positioning strategy. While we now have a robust and forward-thinking narrative that will serve as a guide to take Daniels to the next tier of excellence, there’s a single and essential ingredient to our success: our community.

As an institution, we endeavor to not only create exceptional student experiences, but to also reciprocally engage our critical stakeholders who enrich our learning community. At its best, the Daniels experience is co-created. Our many external stakeholders are essential to helping our students develop as professionals and supporting Daniels in a wide variety of ways. We know that achieving these objectives and realizing our vision requires a motivated, engaged and committed community of faculty and students as well as alumni, corporate partners and friends.

We’re committed to nothing less than a unique and enduring culture that enables our students to achieve their highest and best aspirations. Moreover, the College is committed to impacting the global human condition through programs, outreach, research and engagement.

If we are to fulfill these goals, the College will require your support. Whether you work with our Career Services team to hire graduates and interns, host alumni events in your part of the country or world, attend events or support our programs, scholarships and events, you are contributing to an active and engaged community.

If you’re an alumnus, there are so many ways to get involved; if you’re an employer, let’s have a conversation about how we can support your company’s recruiting efforts or offer our exceptional students as a resource to help your organization tackle business problems. Or, if you’re a member of the business community, join us on campus for an event or professional development workshop.

Thank you for your support as we continue to cultivate a rich, welcoming and energetic Daniels community. We are excited that you’re a part of it.
