The Professional MBA is the University of Denver’s part-time MBA program

The Professional MBA is ranked No. 30 in the nation in Fortune Education’s Best Part-Time MBA Programs of 2022 ranking, released Nov. 17, 2021. This is the first time Fortune has ranked part-time MBA programs.

“We are honored that our Professional MBA is recognized by Fortune. The publication has also ranked our full-time Denver MBA and our online MBA@Denver programs,” says Vivek Choudhury, dean of the Daniels College of Business. “It’s wonderful to have so many of our programs recognized for the quality student experience Daniels provides.”

Fortune Education invited 150 business schools to participate in the ranking. The ranking is made up of three components called a program score, brand score and Fortune 1000 score. The details of these components can be found on their methodology page, but it includes salary or career-progression data, a survey to hiring managers and an assessment of programs’ track record of helping graduates get good jobs.

The part-time Professional MBA is designed for early- to mid-career professionals wanting to progress in their careers. The 21-month program meets in the evenings so working professionals can continue in their current positions while they look for new career paths or move up in their current organization.

“In every one of our programs at Daniels, we focus on rigorous coursework and challenge-driven experiences for our students,” says Assistant Dean Carol Johnson. “This is no exception with the Professional MBA. For example, during the program our students consult for a nonprofit, helping the organization solve problems that they may not have the time to solve themselves, giving our students hands-on training.”
