Entrepreneurship@DU Speaker Series: How to Build a Sustainable Cycling Business
Entrepreneurship@DU invites you to join us for our first Speaker Series of the Fall 2023 Quarter featuring Nick Martin, Founder, The Pro’s Closet.
How to Build a Sustainable Cycling Business
Join Entrepreneurship@DU for our Fall speakers series! Our first guest features Nick Martin, the founder of Pro’s Closet. Nick, a professional mountain biker, created the Pro’s Closet in 2006 when he began selling used cycling gear on eBay using a borrowed computer while living in a Volkswagen van. The company quickly grew, and in 2017, it received its first round of venture capital investment to build its own e-commerce platform.
The Pro’s Closet is now the world’s largest retailer of pre-owned bicycles, and it offers a wide range of other cycling gear, including apparel, components, and accessories. The company’s mission is to “help cyclists find their next great ride—and make sure high quality bikes keep rolling.”
*OPEN TO DU STUDENTS ACROSS ALL LEVELS AND DISCIPLINES*
