Entrepreneurship@DU Speaker Series: Starting a Business: What I Wish I Had Known
Entrepreneurship@DU invites you to join us for another exciting Speaker Series featuring Ryan McLean, Founder/Owner, Mountain Crust Pizza; DU Alum.
Starting a Business: What I Wish I Had Known
As a sophomore at DU in 2016, Ryan wanted to do something more exciting than a dull internship during summer break. That’s when he started his own pizza catering company, specializing in wood-fired pizzas, fresh salads, and other delicious entrees made with high-quality ingredients. The business, Mountain Crust Pizza, was so successful that it has expanded to three trucks and is in the process of adding a fourth. Today nearly every weekend, Mountain Crust Pizza serves its mouthwatering dishes buffet-style and consistently sells out!
Although Ryan’s catering company is now flourishing with multiple trucks and numerous events, it didn’t happen overnight. It took Ryan several years to reach this level of success. Reflecting on his journey, Ryan acknowledges that there are numerous things he wishes he had known before embarking on his entrepreneurial adventure. Plan to attend to learn more about Ryan’s insights on what he wishes he had known before starting his business.
*OPEN TO DU STUDENTS ACROSS ALL LEVELS AND DISCIPLINES*
