Entrepreneurship@DU Women’s Speaker Series with Heidi Ganahl

Entrepreneurship@DU invites you to join us for the next speaker in our Women’s Speaker Series, Heidi Ganahl speaking on:

The SheFactor: How to Shatter Glass Ceilings

Women are integral to the success of our economy and society now more than ever. But success looks different than it did even a decade ago. Women are shaping a new economy for technology, retail, family, workforce and above all, culture. The SheFactor is a new approach to inspire women to know and live their true talents with authenticity and confidence, in turn, driving higher personal performance, delivering greater value to our economy and society, and empowering needed innovation.

Join Heidi, a proud DU Alum, for a conversation around her approach to finding your true calling and living an authentic life.

Virtual Get Together: Tuesday, April 6 | 11-12:00 PM

*OPEN TO DU STUDENTS ACROSS ALL LEVELS AND DISCIPLINES, FACULTY, STAFF AND ALUMNI*

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Heidi Ganahl is one of Colorado’s most well-known entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Her story is outlined by extraordinary adversity in her life. Beginning with the loss of her husband at the age of 27, then losing a million-dollar insurance settlement, she picked up her entrepreneurial spirit and channeled her leadership skills to help her get back up and ultimately become the “Top Dog” and founder of Camp Bow Wow, Fight Back Foundation, and her latest project: SheFactor.

Heidi has been named one of Fortune magazine’s 10 Most Promising Entrepreneurs, and Parade magazine included her in their list of the top women entrepreneurs in the country. Her love for dogs led her to Camp Bow Wow, which was named to the Inc 500/5000 fastest growing company list five years in a row. As a result of Camp Bow Wow’s success, Heidi was named one of Fortune magazine’s 10 Most Promising Entrepreneurs and among the “Top Women Entrepreneurs in the Country” by Parade Magazine. In 2014, she sold the Camp Bow Wow brand for $100 million dollars to turn her attention to philanthropy, politics, and other endeavors.

One of Heidi’s passions is to find ways to give back. In 2016, she was elected as a University of Colorado Regent, where she continues to serve, and on various other boards focused on entrepreneurship and education. She founded the Fight Back Foundation to positively tackle the most pressing issues facing kids today, and in 2019 launched SheFactor —Present Power, Future Fierce— a book, app, and national brand that will impact millions of women across the Union States.
