Entrepreneurship@DU Speaker Series: Building Your Personal Brand through NIL
Everything you need to know about building your personal brand and name, image and likeness!
Entrepreneurship@DU invites you to join us for a fun and engaging Speaker Series featuring: Julian Valentin, Head of Brand and Athlete Marketing at Opendorse speaking on:
Building Your Personal Brand: How To Create A Sustainable Brand and Profit From Your Name, Image and Likeness
With new state laws and NCAA rules recently going into effect, college athletes now have opportunities to make profits by selling their name, image and likeness (NIL). Navigating the complexities of these NIL rules can be challenging, as students will need to consider the tax implications, review contracts and deal with possible compliance issues; however, if done correctly, students have the potential to establish a lifetime brand.
How can students-athletes optimize NIL opportunities while protecting themselves? What are some ways students can monetize their brand value? How does social media impact NIL? Join us as we explore name, image and likeness, including the current legislation status, brand strategies for athletes and much more. Bring your questions!
