The Institute for Enterprise Ethics at the University of Denver’s Daniels Business College and the Colorado Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) today announced a formal alliance, which will allow both organizations to offer joint programs to their members and students, and further support each other’s work.

“The Colorado Chapter of NACD has always had a strong relationship with the Daniels College of Business, and we are excited to join in this formal alliance,” says Dan Sweeney, director of the Institute for Enterprise Ethics. “Both of our organizations have a similar vision for future business professionals who train and lead with the upmost integrity and understanding of ethical business practices.”

Bill Heck, President of the Colorado Chapter of the NACD will serve on the Institute’s Steering Committee and Dan Sweeney, the Director of the Institute for Enterprise Ethics will serve on NACD’s Advisory Board.  The Board of Directors of the Colorado Chapter of NACD has endorsed this alliance with an understanding that there are clear synergies between the two organizations.

NACD is the premier organization of independent corporate directors and is the only membership organization focused exclusively on advancing exemplary board leadership.  The Institute for Enterprise Ethics is dedicated to helping executives, officers and directors integrate best practices for sustaining ethical organizations. The Institute holds regular peer-to-peer executive roundtable discussions, webinars, electronic discussions and its Research Fellows program provides funding for faculty research aimed directly at problems of practical importance to business today.
