Being invited for an admissions interview is an exciting step in your graduate school application process. Make sure that you are prepared to not only showcase your skills and assets, but also describe your fit with the program to which you are applying. Practice telling your story – why did you decide to come back to graduate school and why now? Think about how you will best articulate your thoughtful reasoning for making this choice.
In addition to practicing what you will say during the interview, think about the first impression that you want to make with the admissions interviewer. Dress in business professional attire and present yourself with a friendly and interested demeanor. A firm handshake, good posture and frequent eye contact demonstrate confidence and poise.
