You’ll learn more about the Daniels community and student experience, meet your future faculty, connect with advisors, and enjoy networking events with Daniels peers and the broader DU community.

Sign up for as many events as you’d like. We recommend participating in the entire weekend to enjoy the full experience.

All events are free to attend, including the Rockies game, and plus-ones are welcome. We’re offering hotel accommodations on Friday and Saturday for guests coming from outside the Denver metro area.

Book a 30-minute appointment with a graduate student advisor to start your academic planning and learn how they can support and guide you through your experience at Daniels. Reserve your session time when you register for the weekend.

Odyssey Planning and LUnch

Marcus Commons in Daniels

Daniels Executive Director of Career Services Bob Kumagai will lead you in Odyssey Planning, a brainstorming exercise about how you would like your life to look in the future. Flash-forward 5 years from now and come up with elements that make up the version of you that’s “living your best life.” Your Odyssey Plan will help you understand how to get the most out of the time and resources you invest in your graduate program.

Take the day to get to know the city. We have some suggested spots for every neighborhood! Stop by any of the events on Friday to get a Discover Denver field guide, your map for Saturday.

Scenic bus tour

10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Departs from The Rally Hotel

The Denver foothills are packed with some of Colorado’s best sights, from Red Rocks Amphitheater to Lookout Mountain and the scenic Lariat Loop. Over the course of this half-day tour, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and stroll through small, historic towns.

DU Networking at the Colorado Rockies Game

4:30 p.m.
Coors Field

Join your future classmates, current DU and Daniels students, and DU alumni at Coors Field as the Rockies take on the Kansas City Royals. Your ticket to the game (which starts at 6:10 p.m.), rooftop access, and food and non-alcoholic drinks are all included.
