Names Top Cities for Millennials: by Monica Almaraz

danielscareers-nicheFinding a city to call home is oftentimes a difficult task. As young professionals, we might look for cities with better pay and cheaper rent, but we also want a great atmosphere when we want to have fun and cut loose. has helped make the search a bit easier by compiling a list of the top 25 cities and neighborhoods in the U.S. The site ranks cities on a wide range of criteria, including the percentage of population identified as millennials, median income, education level, racial diversity, lower median rents, unemployment rates, crime rates, nightlife, shopping, cultural attractions and professional sports.

The Director of Business Development at says that it is important to find a good balance, “…combining the fun stuff with the more practical things like safety, and that is what we feel we have accomplished with this list.

Some of the cities on the list like New York and Chicago, are somewhat unexpected since they don’t necessarily fit the lower median rent criteria, however, they do attract a lot of young professionals and have done so for years. Other cities are nice, refreshing mentions like our great city of Denver, which ranked 10 spots higher than other big names like Los Angeles.
