Student Athlete Spotlight: Paul Phillips

Paul Phillips, a native of Darien, Illinois has made himself one to watch as a defenseman for the DU Hockey team. With two seasons playing for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the United States Hockey League and a highly successful college hockey career under his belt, he aspires to play for the NHL in the future. In addition to his outstanding hockey record, Phillips is also a dedicated student in the Daniels College of Business, studying Finance. His high GPA has earned him a place in the All-WCHA Academic Team as well as Scholar-Athlete status. When he isn’t practicing or studying, his hobbies include fishing and golf, and he even finds time in his busy schedule for volunteer work. Keep up the great work Paul!
