The faculty of the Department of Statistics and Operations Technology are well-published researchers who use their and other recent research to enhance classroom learning.

Dr. Rotimi Aderohunmu, Associate Professor

Dr. Aderohunmu's research interests are in the areas of JIT manufacturing and multiperiod network models. He has published in such journals as Management Science, European Journal of Operations Research, and Journal of the Operational Research Society.

Dr. Terry Dalton, Senior Lecturer

Dr. Daltons' research area is the interface between statistics and the law. She has published in the Yale Law & Policy Review and in the Proceedings of the American Statistical Association and the Decision Sciences Institute.

Dr. Robert Hannum, Professor

Dr. Hannum's research interests include probability and the mathematics of gambling, statistical modeling of real problems, statistical applications in law and policy, and statistical and mathematical education. He has published in the Annals of Probability, Annals of Statistics, Sociological Methods and Research, and International Gambling Studies.

Dr. Anthony Hayter, Chair, Professor

Dr. Hayter's research areas are in statistics, probability, data analysis, management science, statistical education, survey sampling, and quality control. He has published in the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference, and Biometrical Journal.

Dr. Kellie Keeling, Assistant Professor

Dr. Keeling's research interests include computer simulation, data mining, statistical software accuracy, and statistics and simulation education. She has published in Communications in Statistics: Simulation and Computation, Computers and Operations Research, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, and Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education.

Dr. Tom Obremski, Associate Professor

Dr. Obremski's research areas are in statistics, mathematics, building and evaluating models to estimate ambient population density, ordering and selection, and cluster analysis. He has published in Communications in Statistics: Simulation and Computation, Interfaces, Journal of Business Ethics, and Teaching Statistics.
