The Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management is dedicated to providing a wealth of networking, continuing education and career events for our students, alumni and industry professionals.

Our Annual Events include:
- Alumni and Friends Networking Events: These informal and complimentary networking events are an excellent opportunity for alumni, students and industry professionals in the real estate and construction fields to meet and mingle. Events are hosted off-campus by an alum or friend of the School.
- Rocky Mountain Commercial Real Estate Expo and DU Fall Forecast: Presented by the Burns School and Denver Metro Commercial Association of REALTORS(R), it is Colorado's largest and most respected commercial real estate event. The conference provides commercial real estate practitioners with the tools needed to be at the top of their field. Vendors representing every segment of commercial real estate make up the exhibit hall.
- Women of Enterprise Forum: The mission of this annual forum is to present top women of the industry, locally and nationally, to speak on topics of shared interest to men and women in the finance, development, brokerage, marketing, lending and management careers within real estate and construction management. The Forum strives to encourage young women to enter the industry and because of that, 75% of all net profits go directly into scholarships for women enrolled in the Burns School.
- Affordable Housing Conference: With a community-driven planning committee that works in the affordable housing segment of the industry, this symposium brings to the forefront cutting-edge issues, building methods and financing possibilities that address all issues around affordable housing.
- The Burns Society: This invitation-only group of leaders in the industry forms a think-tank to meet approximately six times a year to discuss issues that affect real estate and construction management locally, nationally and internationally. The group discussion is led by Director Mark Lee Levine. The Society also presents all students of the program with the gift of a professional leather briefcase upon graduation.
- The Western Slope Conference: This forum focuses on the specific issues facing construction and development on Colorado's western slope. There is a strong contingent of alumni and friends of Burns that take the lead in forming committees to support this event each year.
- Executive Real Estate Roundtable: The Burns School partners and hosts this group ten times a year on campus. These meetings are open to students and the greater RECM community, but membership is by invitation. Speakers are chosen for their areas of expertise and relevance to the trends of the industry.
- RECM Club: This student-driven club invites industry leaders from a variety of specializations to talk to the students about their areas of expertise and network with students one-on-one. The club is also active in participating with industry associations and in community events.
