The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver will host two events about the Smart Cities of Tomorrow. Monday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. the President of Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company Jim Doyle and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock will speak at Voices of Experience at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Denver campus.

Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company provides comprehensive solutions directly to clients in two major areas: Eco Solutions, comprised of commercial-scale solar and energy efficiency systems and Audio-Visual (AV) Solutions, comprised of large-scale audio-visual solutions for major sports and entertainment clients. Mr. Doyle is charged with rapidly growing both the Eco and AV solutions businesses by leveraging the strengths of Panasonic and its valued partners to deliver ongoing value for its clients. Mr. Doyle  has led the company since January 2010.

He and Mayor Hancock will talk about how a range of next-generation responsive infrastructure technologies is being used to transform cities.

Then, on Sept. 20, Executive Education at the Daniels College of Business will host a one-day conference on Smart Cities of Tomorrow. Representatives from major corporations like Deloitte,  IBM, Zayo Group and Arrow Electronics will speak. In addition, representatives from the City of Denver and Centennial and Denver’s Smart City Challenge Co-Chairs will explain how they are supporting Denver in this arena. Topics include smart city trends, connectivity, transformative technology, smart city partnerships, the future of mobility and the future of Denver.
