As a result of Ms. King’s efforts Polo Ralph Lauren was a finalist in the 2011 Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Supply Chain Innovation Award. Polo Ralph Lauren has deployed an international vendor routing portal that extends control of its inbound supply chain upstream to its global network of 400 plus vendors in fully automated environments. Initial results have extended Polo’s handover visibility by ten days, reducing cycle times and significantly reducing costs by alignment of air service to divisional sales targets.
