Natalie Casey: Consultant with Hitachi Consulting

February 25, 2015 |

Natalie Casey recently landed her dream job as a consultant with Hitachi Consulting. Among the many resources available to students, Natalie attributes her success to her proactive involvement in student activities, the one-on-one advising she received at Daniels Career Services and the practical skills she learned in classroom exercises. Natalie notes, “If you take ownership of your job search and are intentional about utilizing the resources offered, then you will land your dream job.”

By working closely with a career coach, Natalie was able to fine-tune her résumé and cover letter to prepare her for interview rounds, offer letters and salary negotiations. “Career Services went above and beyond in helping me to land this position because of their employer relations, availability of online resources and the personal attention from Career Coaches.”

In addition to her close coordination with a Daniels Career Coach, Natalie found great utility in the group projects she participated in during classroom exercises. “Consulting requires individuals that work well both independently and in teams, and I believe the Daniels curriculum prepared me very well for such a role,” she writes.
