We all research cars before we buy one, look at restaurant reviews before we try a new place, and even research boots before we buy our next pair online. So why don’t we do more research on jobs and companies before we accept an offer?
Too often, new hires accept a job that turns out to be different than expected. In fact, Glassdoor reports that 6 in 10 employees say their job differs from the expectations set during the interview process.
Glassdoor curates insider information from current and former employees so applicants can gain insight into a particular job and company. The company has more than 300,000 companies across industry sectors and 15 million job and internship postings in its database. Traditionally, applicants needed to sign up or share content in order to gain access. But, a new partnership between Daniels Careers Services and Glassdoor is giving DU students free access to its online career community. Check it out!
