Where are you from and what were you doing before you came to Daniels?

I am a Colorado native. I recently graduated with my MS in Accounting from Daniels in 2011. Before starting my graduate studies I interned at a local accounting firm which I will be returning to after duration. Before that I spent 6 months studying abroad in Sydney, Australia.

Extracurricular activities that you are involved with:

I work for the athletic department providing support services for the student athletes. I also tutor undergraduate math and accounting classes. I enjoy the outdoors, especially mountain biking and skiing.

What brought me to Daniels:

I came to Daniels originally for my undergraduate degree for many reasons. My family has a history of graduating from the University of Denver and I knew how great the programs are. While completing my undergraduate work I began to plan for the future and knew getting my Master’s degree was the next step. The dual degree program offered at Daniels provided me with the capability to do so in only one extra year. The prestigious rankings of the graduate school and accounting program were the reason I decided to stay for a fifth year.

A little about your experience at Daniels thus far:

I cannot speak enough about the connections I have made both socially and professionally through the college. The professors are personal and committed to your education, and the programs that available to students provide great networking opportunities.
