Robert Tarola has extensive experience as a director, CFO and auditor for several public companies. He is the former CFO of W. R. Grace & Co. and MedStar Health, Inc., both of which are multibillion dollar businesses with multinational operations. Previously, Tarola was a partner with Price Waterhouse LLP. During his 22-year tenure with Price Waterhouse, he served in a variety of capacities, including regional managing partner for a strategic industry segment and partner in the National SEC Services group.
Tarola serves on the boards of TeleTech Holdings, the American Kidney Fund, several public mutual funds sponsored by Legg Mason, Inc. and has served on the boards of several health and community organizations, including the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Tarola is an at-large member of the governing council of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (and a member of its assurance services executive committee) and a past member of the board of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. He has chaired the advisory board of his alma mater, Temple University and is a current member of the advisory board for the Merrick School of Business at the University of Baltimore. Tarola is listed in International Who's Who of Professionals. He is a certified public accountant in four states.
