Mr. Bo Storozuk

Daniels Ambassador
IMBA

bo.storozuk@du.edu .

Where are you from and what were you doing before you came to Daniels?

Swan River, Manitoba, Canada – Playing college hockey and obtaining my BS in Business Administration with a minor in Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

Extracurricular activities that you are involved with:

Executive Vice-President: Graduate Business Student Association, Co-President: Net Impact, Daniels Coordination Chair: International Business Association, Member: Entrepreneurs in Action, Graduate Assistant: Marketing Department, Goalie Coach: Junior Pioneers Hockey.

What brought you to Daniels?

Daniels encompasses both a strong focus on sustainable and ethical business practices as well great IMBA program that offers multiple travel opportunities and experiential learning.

A little about your experience at Daniels thus far:

As much learning that goes on inside the classroom at Daniels, I’ve learned even more by getting involved outside the classroom.

Being involved in multiple student organizations has given me the opportunity to meet and work with great colleagues, as well as learn and help make a difference in areas that I’m interested in. The activities and programs that these student groups put on have not only provided me with great connections to business professionals, but have also presented opportunities to improve my leadership, project management, and team building skills.

I have also had the wonderful opportunity to take the GO: Deutsche Bank Microfinance class and travel to the Republic of Georgia where a group of us audited a microfinance institution and make a recommendation to Deutsche Bank for a loan renewal. Getting outside of your comfort zone and experiencing other parts of the world really puts everything into perspective and is the greatest education experience you can have. I can’t wait to head to Brazil with our Cross-cultural Investigation and Observation course this fall.

Lastly, the Executive Mentor program, which pairs a group of students up with a local business professional, has provided me not only with a mentor, but a great friend. My mentor has done everything from give me beneficial career advice, spend time socially getting to know each other, to providing introductions to other business professionals; one of which has led to my summer internship at CH2M HILL, a global leader in engineering, consulting, construction and operations.

It is these opportunities that Daniels provides that have made my experience so beneficial. It is these opportunities that have given me the experience, skills, and knowledge to go on and be successful, whatever challenge I decide to take on.
