After graduating from school, Troy Schroeder began his professional career with Arthur Andersen in Denver. He now holds the position of Controller with Haselden Construction in Centennial. Schroeder's role as the controller oversees the budgeting and forecasting efforts, maintaining the primary relationships with their bankers, auditors and insurance agents, the production of the monthly financial statements and the compilation and publication of the annual business plan. He and his professional staff account for over $250 million of construction revenue annually, payroll for over 250 employees each week and annual operating budget in excess of $10 million. He maintains an active CPA license in Colorado and is a current member of the Colorado Society of CPA's, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Construction Financial Managers Association. In addition, Schroeder was recently accepted to the 2011 Impact Denver class through the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Leadership Foundation.
Born in Denver Colorado, Schroeder , the oldest of four, is a third generation Colorado native. He and his wife of 11 years, Holly (also a DU alumna and an adjunct professor for the SoA) currently reside in Castle Rock with their two boys Jackson, 4, and Landon, 2.
He received his BAcc and MAcc degrees from the University of Denver in 1995.
