Ms. Agne Jaruseviciute
Daniels Ambassador
Master of Business Administration, Concentration in Marketing
Program, Year (1st, 2nd), and Concentration:
2nd year full-time IMBA candidate with concentration in Marketing
Where are you from and what were you doing before you came to Daniels?
I was born and raised in Lithuania’s third largest city, Klaipeda. I completed my undergraduate studies in Business Administration and Management at LCC International University. Before moving to Denver and starting my graduate studies at Daniels, I lived in Chicago for four years and worked as a market analyst at a private equity firm specializing in real-estate investments and commodity trading. I was also actively involved in raising funds for the Lithuanian Culture Center and helped visiting Lithuanian designers set up fashion shows in Chicago.
Extracurricular activities that you are involved with:
Currently I hold a Marketing Chair position at the International Business Association. I am a part of the incoming 2011/2012 Graduate Business Student Association board, holding the position of Vice President of Marketing and Communications. I have been a Daniels Pioneer since 2010.
What brought you to Daniels?
The University of Denver, Daniels College of Business MBA/IMBA program stood out, amongst other schools, because of its emphasis on business ethics and sustainability. Smaller classrooms, where students can get individual attention from professors and the school’s strong reputation, were also key factors on my decision to attend Daniels. I absolutely love the University of Denver campus and living in Colorado!
A little about your experience at Daniels thus far:
My first year as an IMBA candidate was filled with great learning experiences. I had an opportunity to meet, study, and work with students from across the globe, and challenge my views and thinking every day. This provided me an opportunity to have a second look at my own work practices and find new areas for improvement. I just got back from a CIAO trip to China where I and 14 other students had an opportunity to conduct a business feasibility study, visit different international companies, and learn first hand about the business practices, culture and people of China. In sum, I had one of the best years of my life and I cannot wait for the fall semester!
