Fall is a wonderful time of year in Colorado. It’s a time of beginnings for our community as students come back to campus and our halls are once again filled with their vibrant energy. I’d like to take this opportunity to share the many ways you can stay connected to the Daniels College of Business—regardless of where you are in the world.

Reconnecting

Update your contact info and provide personal and career updates at epioneer@du.edu. Providing your current information ensures that you receive our communications and invitations to events in and outside of Colorado. Send us your class notes to publish in the next Daniels Business Review or DU Magazine.

Networking

Daniels hosts events that foster alumni networking and professional development including the Daniels Connects networking events, Daniels Nights, Snow Ball, Daniels Week BBQ and more. Many of the schools and departments at Daniels also host special events for their alumni. The DU on the Road program brings the University to you in many cities across the country and we will notify international alumni when faculty and students travel to their cities.

Recruiting

If you are in a hiring position, recruit Daniels students or alumni to work at your company or organization. Internships for our students are also appreciated.

Consulting

Receive graduate-caliber services at no charge when you challenge students with real-world business situations. Daniels students work on consulting projects through the Enterprise Solutions course, business intelligence classes, marketing projects, faculty research projects and more.

Volunteering

The Daniels Pioneer Network spans the globe and counts Fortune 500 executives, top entrepreneurs and everything in between as members. Our powerful network is continually strengthened through alumni involvement. Daniels has several advisory boards and committees, mentoring programs, case competitions and secondary admissions interviews through which alumni can support the success of the College. Speaking

Speakers Connection connects experienced members of the business community locally, nationally and globally with Daniels faculty and departments to bring a “real-world” perspective to undergraduate, graduate and executive students.

Share your experiences with our students and help us bring your first-hand knowledge directly to their learning environment. Opportunities for participation in the Speakers Connection include:

  • Lecture in your area of expertise either in the classroom or virtually.
  • Discuss current issues with other professionals on an industry panel.
  • Host a student group at your firm for a market discussion.
  • Participate in webinars or web chats to expand student thinking.

Supporting

Invest in the College’s future by contributing to the annual fund, scholarships or a specific department. Gifts of all sizes have impact and are appreciated.

Learning

Referring

It should come as no surprise that many students found out about the Daniels College of Business through a friend or from a coworker or alumni. When people are a part of something great they talk about it. If you know some prospective students, we’d like to talk to them.

We want to build the Daniels community with more people like you. And truth be told, there’s simply nothing more powerful than friends of Daniels telling their friends, family and coworkers about the experience they had at Daniels. It creates a better learning environment and a more powerful network for all of us.
