Biography at a Glance
Mary Anne Leach, Sr. Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Children’s Hospital Colorado, has held leadership roles in health information technology for thirty years. Since joining Children’s in 2007, Leach has helped Children’s harvest strategic, clinical, business and research value from technology enablers and investments, and helped Children’s achieve Most Improved (2011) and Most Wired (2013, 2014) recognitions from Hospitals and Health Networks.
Prior to joining Children’s Hospital Colorado, Leach was Vice President, Clinical Applications, Catholic Health Initiatives (Denver). Leach led her own consulting organization for seven years (M.A. Leach & Company), and held Director roles at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago), Superior Consultant Company, Inc., and at IHC Affiliated Services, (a prior division of Intermountain Health Care).
Leach holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah, and holds the credential of Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). In 2011, Leach was named CIO of the Year by Denver Business Journal in the non-profit category, and in January, 2013, she was named to the list of “100 Hospital and Health Systems CIOs to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review.
