Biography At-a-Glance

After receiving his PhD in finance from the University of Washington in 1978, Maclyn Clouse was named an assistant professor of finance at the University of Denver. Clouse was named an associate professor in 1982 and a professor in 1994. He was director of the University’s Small Business Administration Small Business Institute from 1990 to 1995 and chaired the Reiman School of Finance from 1999 to 2007.

Clouse has extensive media expertise and has been quoted by local, regional and national press, including ABC’s World News. He is particularly adept at explaining complex financial situations in lay terms and in presenting explanations that help readers and viewers understand the various ways changes in the local or national economy will affect their day-to-day lives.
